Molly teaches private classes in her home and at U.C. Davis Extension. She’s one of 150 poets with California Poets in the Schools. For a schedule of upcoming classes, please visit her website www.mollyfisk.com.
Molly learned to write a poem every day at the Community of Writers at Squaw Valley, which she’s attended four times (1992, 1995, 1998, 2004). She likes the process so well that she encourages her students to apply. One year, none of them were accepted. Because Molly couldn’t have them all come spend a week at her house and write, she designed an on-line version of the process to see if that would work. It was so successful that Molly “went public” with it in January, 2003. Poetry Boot Camp participants now come from all over the world — Cyprus, Guam, England, Portugal, Canada, the South Pole — as well as the United States, and include quite a few Community of Writers alumni who want a chance to practice this productive technique during the 11 months when that workshop isn’t in session.
